Overview

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, under the Mega Cluster Development Scheme, through Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation (TANSIDCO), has established a Pharma Park with 42 industrial plots exclusively for Orange Category pharmaceutical formulation units at TANSIDCO Pharma Industrial Park in Pellakuppam, Kollar & Venmaniyathur villages, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu. 35 Pharma Companies have been allotted plots in the Pharma Park to set up their formulation units.
The Allottees of the Pharma Park have jointly formed a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) in the name and style of “Tindivanam Pharma Park Association (TPPA)” registered under Companies Act 2012 for creating and managing common facilities in the Pharma Park.

The common facilities in the Pharma Park are expected to create a significant positive impact in the form of new investments, increased production capacities, creation of world-class quality infrastructure, additional employment and improvement in production efficiency across the value chain and bringing down the cost of production, thereby contributing to the economic development and social welfare of the State.

Mr. J Jayaseelan
Chairman and Managing Director, TPPA

Jayaseelan Jaganathan was born in a lower-middle-class family in a town called Salem in Tamilnadu. His father was a small-scale businessman and his mother was a school teacher. He concluded his schooling in a government-aided school at Salem and got in to the Prestigious Madras Medical College for doing his B Pharmacy. Later he completed post graduate diploma in Marketing Management and MBA in Marketing.

He began his career in Sales and marketing in Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd in 1989 and had successfully grown as Area Sales Manager in Eli Lilly, as Regional Sales Manager in RPG (Searle) with a stellar track record of 10 years.

Dr. S V Veeramani
Director, TPPA

Dr. S V Veeramani is the Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Fourrts (India) Laboratories Pvt Limited, manufacturer of pharmaceutical formulations with All India marketing and exports to more than 50 countries.

He has served as National President of the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association for a record 3 consecutive years from 2014-2016.

Presently, Dr.S V Veeramani is the Chairman of Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (PHARMEXCIL), Government of India.

He was also the President of 68^th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2016 held at Visakhapatnam.

Dr S V Veeramani has been duly recognized with various awards including (1) “IPA FELLOWSHIP AWARD” for his distinguished and dedicated service to the Profession of Pharmacy received during the 69^th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2017 held at Chandigarh (2) “B.V.PATEL MEMORIAL AWARD” during the 67^th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2015, Mysuru (3) IDMA N I GANDHI CHIEF MENTOR AWARD for his outstanding contribution to IDMA & Indian Pharmaceutical Industry (4) “INDUSTRY CRUSADER AWARD” during India Pharma Awards 2018 of UBM at CPHI INDIA in 2018.

Dr S V Veeramani currently serves as Chairman of Tamilnadu Pharmaceutical Sciences Welfare Trust (TNPSWT), which offers Scholarships to M.Pharm / Pharm-D students and also helps manage PKTI (Pharma Knowledge Training Institute) that helps transition recent B.Pharm graduates to Industry.
